The engine control unit is the brain of a modern engine and controls all of its actuators and sensors – from fuel injection to exhaust after-treatment. The control unit´s dataset has to be matched exactly to the individual engine. In case of engine problems, the complex software protects the engine from severe damage and allows for fast und precise error diagnosis.
