All engines leave the factory and reach the customer with an effective protection against corrosion damage in the engine or on the periphery. The corrosion protection can be designed for 12 or 24 months protection as required.

Corrosion protection must be renewed in engines stored for longer than 24 months. Renewal of the corrosion protection is necessary when an engine is taken out of operation after a certain operating time for a longer break.
